Job Description: Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Officer whose role will be to promote, support and give technical advice on the company’s rock support products to the mining industry and to realize, grow and develop the company’s sales and profitability targets. Focus on new business generation, account growth, market share growth, customer relationships. Responsibilities:
- Establish strong, enduring and functional customer relationships that maximize the result for the customer and company
- Reasonable improvements of area sales results per year
- Providing continuous and accurate feedback to the area Sales Manager
- Efficient management of confidential/intellectual company property
- Maintaining stock and cost-effective repairs in satellite workshops.
- Market intelligence and inform management of changes taking place in the customer base timeously
- Submission of weekly activity reports to management
- CRM to be up-dated monthly and forwarded to line management
- Preparation for monthly strategic planning sessions – feedback presentations. Attendance of such meetings compulsory and must be diarized well in advance.
- Elimination/reduction of Customer complaints
- To ensure all customers are attended to
- Maintain the company’s preferred provider status
- Continuously monitor customer complaint situation and provide feedback to the company
- Deliver product application training
- Remain knowledgeable on customer concerns on the ground on a day to day basis
- Sales Experience in the mining industry
- Post matric Mining qualification preferable, ie a qualified Shift Boss/Training Officer or qualified by a combination of relevant qualifications and experience
- Strata control Certificate/Training Officer certificate would advantageous
- Sales training course would be advantageous
- Proof of being fit to work underground (Red Ticket)
