Feel free to apply!!Key Responsibilities:Lead the design of chassis systems, including layout and design of all parts, with a focus on finalising layout to meet performance and cost targets.Generate feasible design concepts, utilising advanced surfacing and 3D modelling techniques in Solidworks or similar CAD tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify load and boundary conditions, prepare design validation plans, and monitor testing results to ensure compliance with performance requirements.Drive value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) initiatives to reduce product material costs while maintaining quality standards.Conduct vendor evaluations to assess technical and process capabilities, ensuring alignment with project requirements.Prepare design manuals and documentation to facilitate manufacturing processes and ensure consistency in design execution.Provide technical leadership and support to junior engineers, guiding them in project execution and problem-solving.Skills:Proficiency in 3D modelling and 2D drawing using Solidworks or similar CAD software.Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Extensive knowledge of chassis design principles, manufacturing processes, and material selection.Experience in leading design projects from concept to production, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Preferred Experience:Experience with UG NX and Fusion360 CAD software.Previous involvement in full vehicle development projects, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) industry.Familiarity with structural analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.
