Job Title: MEP EngineerLocation: BangaloreExperience: 4+ YearsEducation: B.E / B. Tech, preferably with a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering background Job Purpose:We are looking for a skilled MEP engineer who has good experience in the Construction field. The MEP Engineer Should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and can work as a team to deliver challenges in a tough environment.MEP Engineer is a professional classification responsible for planning and designing in the area of Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems including developing policies standards, inspection procedures and evaluation tools for MEP matters along with preparing and reviewing drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for the mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. Roles and Responsibilities:Working as part of the project management team, reporting to the Project Director, MEP Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the project relating to building servicesManage the day-to-day work of the MEP teamThe role includes the management of the MEP team to ensure that the day-to-day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the projectMEP engineer has to review plans and specifications according to the planMEP Engineer has to plan, organize the review, and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others.Advise the Project Manager of any technical aspects of the MEP services that may affect construction progress, e.g. quality or snagContinually review the contractor's construction schedule during the progress of the site works with regards to MEP services and report to the Project Manager on the sameIn conjunction with the Project Manager, ensure that the filing/logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the sameMonitor and promote health and safety on the site. Record and report any breaches to the Project Manager Undertake a prior review of the Contractor's proposed mechanical system testing & commissioning methods and scheduleReview and comment on the Contractor's testing and commissioning results and advise the Project Director accordingly.Maintain an ongoing list of mechanical service defects for the contractor's remedial action.Attend project, site progress, and any mechanical services-related technical meetings as directed by the project managerUndertake final project snagging and prepare a list of defects for the Contractor's action.Skills Required:Experience in High Rise Construction is mandatory.Specialized in MEP - Pumps, Motor, Other Equipment, Electrical Work in High Rise buildings, and Internal and External Plumbing, would be an added advantage.Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics associated with tradeAt least 3 years of construction experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbingShould know Construction procedures and practicesPossess excellent communication and organizational skillsBuilding codes and standardsLanguages: Kannada, Hindi, English. Working knowledge of Telugu and Tamil is preferable but not compulsory. PRB
