CareCorp Seniors Services, a trusted long-term care and assisted living contractor, is currently hiring an Assistant Care Manager (Registered Nurse) for one of our service delivery sites, Pine Grove Seniors Community . This is a full-time position and offers competitive salary and benefits. Facility Address: 313 McGowan Avenue, Kamloops BC V2B 2N8 Position Summary Reporting to the the Care Manager, the Assistant Care Manager is responsible for supporting the Care Manager in the guidance, supervision, leadership, coaching and the imposition of progressive discipline to all designated care staff employees. The Assistant Care Manager also assists in ensuring that health codes, safety measures, accreditation, and legal mandates are met. The assistant care manager collaborates with the client's site management team, interdisciplinary team and stakeholders to ensure delivery of safe care and services. Responsibilities Assists in the oversight of the provision of clinical care and provides supervision, leadership and guidance to designated staff and team professionals to achieve excellence in the care of residents and families Works in collaboration with the client's site management team, interdisciplinary team, residents/ families and stakeholders to identify and alleviate barriers to effective provision of care. Assists in coordinating work activities to ensure an efficient and high standard of care and effective utilization of resources to meet operational needs. Provides support and supervision to designated staff and team professionals including employing effective communication strategies, conflict resolution, performance recognition, performance management and safe work practices. Works collaboratively with staffing coordinators, or designates, to identify and resolve day-to-day staffing issues to meet staffing requirements. In collaboration with the Care Manager and HR department, ensures compliance with the Collective Agreement, attends and participates in labor management meetings, investigates and resolves formal grievances. Investigates incident and accident reports. Ensures adherence to policies and procedures as they pertain to WorkSafe BC regulations and all other health and safety codes. Works in collaboration with the VP of Clinical Operations, the client's site management team and interdisciplinary team members to identify education needs and participate in the delivery of staff education. Oversees the timely completion and submission of reports, including RAI-MDS assessment, investigative reports and audits. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, the client's site management team and stakeholders to ensure delivery of evidence-based, quality care and service to all clients. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and strategies to promote excellence in care and service delivery. Maintains all required documentation and records. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCN&M) Five (5) years' recent clinical experience working with older adults and in residential care environment. One (1) year of progressive leadership experience in a supervisory and/or administrative capacity in residential care setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
