Electrical Project Manager (Renewables) . Remote or Hybrid working (Stockbridge, Edinburgh). Excellent & negotiable salary. Locogen are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Engineer with strong project management skills to join our growing, innovative renewables team. We’re a multidisciplinary renewable energy company; offering our clients consultancy, design, development, build and management of renewable and low carbon assets. We have grown significantly over the last few years, both in the size of our team and the scale and scope of the projects we engage in. Our work is innovative and varied including utility scale projects, industrial behind-the-meter systems and community scale schemes. We cover Wind, Solar PV, Renewable Heat, Battery Storage (BESS) and Hydrogen. We have big ambitions for the next few years, and we need a new Electrical Project Manager to help us achieve them. About our role This is a core role within our growing, experienced Engineering Team. Our team provides consultancy, owners engineer and project management services for our clients and Joint Venture Partners. You will be responsible for the delivery and management of both your own renewable energy projects and assisting with electrical aspects on others’ projects too. Some of the things you will be doing
- Project managing renewables projects through design, procurement and construction including project briefs, documentation and budgets.
- Providing engineering and technical services including electrical input, engineering drawings, technical specifications and scope of works (e.g. EPC specifications, ground works, structural works, M&E infrastructure, HV electrical works, etc).
- Leading procurement and contract administration on behalf of clients.
- Health and Safety and CDM – Performing the role of Principal Designer and ensuring projects are delivered with best practice and within health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
- Communicating and managing project stakeholders, internal and external resources.
- Leading on Quality Assurance.
- Assisting with the technical components of tendering.
- A detail orientated electrical engineer with a desire to support renewable energy projects through their life cycle.
- Someone with experience project managing utility scale renewables projects from an electrical perspective through design, procurement and construction phases.
- Someone with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar relevant discipline.
- Someone with experience of CDM regulations and undertaking the role of Principal Designer.
- Someone who has worked in a consultancy environment providing owners engineer or project manager services.
- Chartered or associate member of electrical or other engineering body.
- Strong working knowledge of engineering standards relevant to the design and construction of renewable energy projects.
- Experience of managing NEC4 and FIDIC contracts.
- Flexible working hours: core hours are 10am – 4pm - if you make up your weekly hours then we don’t mind how you manage your time.
