As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a pivotal role in driving our client's technological vision forward. Collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI infrastructure to enhance investment strategies and operational efficiency. Our client is seeking a forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of AI technologies and their application within the financial sector. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions to support investment strategies and decision-making processes. Collaborate with quantitative research teams to identify opportunities for leveraging AI and machine learning techniques in financial modeling and analysis. Oversee the development and maintenance of robust data infrastructure and analytics platforms to support high-frequency trading and risk management. Drive innovation and technological advancement across the organization, staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices in AI, machine learning, and quantitative finance. Manage a team of talented engineers and data scientists, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster a culture of excellence and innovation. Partner with senior leadership to define and execute our client's long-term technological roadmap, aligning with business objectives and strategic priorities. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and cybersecurity best practices, implementing robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data and systems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of leadership and success in building and managing AI infrastructure within the financial industry. Deep understanding of AI and machine learning techniques, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying predictive models for trading and investment purposes. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++; experience with data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement. Prior experience in a senior leadership role within a hedge fund, asset management firm, or financial institution is preferred. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry, particularly as they relate to AI and algorithmic trading.
