Then read on!THE ROLEFor Skytree's next chapter of growth, we are looking for a Sales Operations Director who is passionate about the opportunity to build and scale our Sales Operations organization. Part of the Commercial leadership team, this role is responsible for setting up our first-ever sales operations playbook at Skytree, in order to drive our commercial performance, sales productivity and efficiency. As our go-to-market activities accelerate, you will also be designing and leading Skytree's tender desk and managing high value, complex bid opportunities in our key markets, including Carbon Removal, eMethanol, Sustainable Aviation Fuels, Sustainable Building Materials and CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture). Building a repository of bid documents and implementing a bid workflow tool are amongst the essential foundations for this.For all the profiles we are looking for, a genuine interest in climate technology, alignment with Skytree values, and experience in scaling businesses within complex industrial environments are a must.This role is based either in our Amsterdam headquarters or our Toronto office (opening in Q2/2024).YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT BYDeveloping and implementing Skytree's Sales Operations framework and thus enabling our Sales and Business Development teams.Continuously reviewing and optimizing Sales Operations processes, aligning these with the wider organizational context to maximize efficiency and commercial performance.Providing bid management expertise and overseeing the complete tender life-cycle, from opportunity qualification, bid preparation and production, to bid evaluation and submission.Building a repository or documents and text blocks to support a smooth bid process, and maintaining this in collaboration with owners of information.Implementing a bid management workflow tool.Securing high-quality, winning bid responses.Proactively identifying and mitigating relevant risks, e.g. contractual, financial, operational, technical, etc.Driving sales planning, pipelining and target-setting to support commercial strategies and execution.Owning the implementation and / or maintenance of relevant sales systems, including the CRM.Building the Sales Operations organization through recruiting, coaching and developing new team members.Working closely with key stakeholders in the Commercial, Technology and other teams to identify, prioritize and deliver impactful initiatives to drive efficiency and excellence.Establishing a culture of collaboration and execution excellence, ensuring the team consistently operates at the highest standardsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORAt least 7-8 years of relevant work experience in Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, Bid / Tender Management or similar roles (with experience at senior / leadership level).Experience working with industrial, hardware and / or carbon removal companies would be an advantage.Deep knowledge of sales and bid strategies, systems and processes.Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a precise and structured manner.Excellent written communications skills and ability to structure complex topics in a clear way.Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of influencing and gaining consensus with stakeholders in a complex environment.Proven ability to work cross-functionally with ease and manage competing interests in order to create and implement strategies efficiently and effectively, compromising where needed.Ability to excel in dynamic environments where there is a high degree of uncertainty.A genuine team player who is motivated to achieve objectives and overcomes challenges through close collaboration and coordination with other teams.Fluency in English.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTApart from working with great colleagues and a competitive package, you can also expect these additional benefits:A unique opportunity to join a fast-developing carbon tech company with an ambitious strategy focused on having a real impact in combating climate changeOpportunity to shape the strategy and direction of the company, and exposure to decision makersA diverse and international teamA company mobile phone and laptopTravel cost reimbursement (choose from an NS business card, lease bike, or 21ct p/km travel allowance)25 vacation days per yearA (flexible) hybrid working policy where possibleA cozy office located close to the Science Park train station, also close to the highwayAccess to the Science Park and Amsterdam University cafeterias (and all the great and healthy meal options)A monthly lunch allowanceRegular social activities hosted by our very own Champagne CommitteeQUESTIONS?Need some more info, or simply have a question for us?
