Type of Remuneration:APP- Alternative Payment PlanDr. Kingston Community Health Centre, located in L'Ardoise, is seeking a full-time family physician to join their local family practice team. The team works collaboratively together and includes 1 full-time family practice nurse, 1 full-time nurse practitioner, a visiting dietician, and a visiting social worker. This opportunity requires participation in nursing home coverage and inpatient care (participating in the CHIP program). Also, opportunity exists to participate in a variety of other areas that fit your professional interests and skill set including, but not limited to, emergency room coverage, addictions medicine, etc. Physicians are supported to engage in research and/or teaching positions with Dalhousie University. This clinic utilizesMedAccess as theEMR, and administrative support staff is available to physicians.The Dr. Kingston Community Health Centre is approximately 30 minutes from the areas' local hospital, Strait Richmond Hospital (SRH). SRH serves residents of Richmond County and the southern portion of Inverness County. The two regional referral centres for the area include Cape Breton Regional Hospital (located in Sydney) and St. Martha's Regional Hospital (located in Antigonish). Both regional hospitals are located approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away from L'Ardoise.Responsibilitiesduties include full scope of practice as a family physicianproviding care to patients within the eastern zone and participating in callthe physician will be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Family Practice for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice, and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health AuthorityThe community of L'Ardoise is located in Richmond County, on the southern coast of scenic Cape Breton Island.
