As a member of the business development team, the incumbent will be accountable for ensuring market leading delivery of services to our clients and for building and maintaining effective relationships with clients. As a key contact point in the RGA-client partnership, the incumbent will act as the liaison for all new business client enquiries and support other RGA departments in responding quickly, effectively, and clearly. You have a strong focus on client service and developing partnerships.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities/Activities: Develop and sustain strong, trusting relationships with client counterparts in the reinsurance management and new business areas with existing and targeted insurance companies.Work in a team environment, developing and encouraging a spirit of cooperation and coordination among departments in dealing with clients.Demonstrate the differentiated value of the RGA offering.Quickly and effectively resolve issues or challenges in the acquisition of new businessSupport the request for proposal ("RFP") process in a timely and efficient manner, following internal guidelines and authorities.Work in collaboration with the pricing team, the other members of the business development team, the underwriting team, and functional leads in support of market leading strategies for responding to RFPs.Participate actively in the negotiation of reinsurance terms and conditions which meet profit objectives.Work with the legal team to negotiate treaty language to provide the necessary protection and ensure treaties are prepared in a timely manner.Coordinate the client engagement framework in collaboration with the other members of the business development team and functional/line of business leads.
