Job Description            Contract Farming -  Manager | Riyadh, KSATitle: Contract Farming -  ManagerLocation: Riyadh, KSAExperience - 5-7 years of experience in livestock management, preferably in contract farming or large-scale farming operations.Job Summary: To oversee and manage the technical aspects of contract farming operations, and provide technical guidance by implementing best practices, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and optimizing livestock productivity.Roles & Responsibilities:1. Strategic ContributionDirect the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and implement the strategic agenda of the Technical Services department to deliver the company's vision and mission.Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Technical Services department and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the Company's strategy.2. Leadership:Direct the activities of the Technical Services team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.Build and lead a motivated, engaged and competent team, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals. Serve as a role model to ensure employees' awareness and commitment to the company's vision, mission, values, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated team, and continuously improve performance.3. Budgeting:  Lead the preparation of the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.4. Other key responsibilities:Provide technical expertise and guidance to contract farmers, ensuring adherence to Livestock best practices, quality standards, and contractual obligations.Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various farming activities, including animal husbandry, feeding, breeding, and health management.Conduct regular farm visits and inspections to monitor and evaluate the implementation of farming practices, identify areas for improvement, and provide training and support to contract farmers.Provide technical expertise and guidance to contract farmers on best practices for livestock production, ensuring compliance with quality standards.Develop farm plans and production strategies in collaboration with contract farmers to optimize productivity and profitability.Conduct training sessions for contract farmers on livestock management techniques, disease prevention, and biosecurity measures.Regularly monitor the performance of contract farms, analyze data, and provide feedback to farmers to improve efficiency and outcomes.Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of high-quality inputs, feed ingredients, vaccines, medicine, and equipment, for contract farmers.Strong knowledge of livestock production techniques, health management, and biosecurity protocols.Stay updated on the latest advancements in livestock technologies, farming techniques, and breeding-specific requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.Conduct research and analysis to identify and recommend suitable breed varieties, nutrient management strategies, and integrated animal husbandry approaches for different contract farming projects.Develop and maintain relationships with external livestock experts, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to leverage their expertise and stay informed about emerging trends and practices.Collaborate with the quality control department to establish and maintain quality assurance processes, including sampling, testing, and compliance with the required standards and certificationsQualification, Experience & Skills:Qualification: Bachelor's degree in animal science, animal production, or a related field. Relevant certifications and additional training are advantageous.Experience: 5--7 years of experience in livestock management, preferably in contract farming or large-scale farming operations.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide technical guidance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build relationships with contract farmers and stakeholders.
