About the role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will support with financial tasks like data entry, reporting, and reconciliations. Contributing to the team by aiding smooth financial operations.

About the Operations Team

BlueRock Operations supports our advisory divisions to make our BlueRock employees' lives easier. Our Operations team comprises finance, people & culture, marketing and IT professionals. We are pioneers of innovation and are always on the lookout for ways to improve processes so our teams can get back to the important stuff, supporting our clients What you’ll be doing
  • Prepare KPI reports. 
  • Prepare team P&L reports. 
  • Income reconciliation. 
  • Journal preparation and posting. 
  • Assist in Budgeting & Forecasting. 
  • Reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts. 
  • Supporting the Director of Financial Operations and the Management Accountants
  • Supporting the Bookkeepers with the oversight of accounts payable and payroll
  • Assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis
We want to hear from people who have:
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in accounting/finance roles (either industry or public practice) and working towards CA / CPA
  • An intermediate to advanced level in the full Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel
  • Prior experience with Xero & Power BI viewed favourably
  • Tertiary educational qualification in accounting or being in the process of receiving your CA or CPA
  • Strong procedural mindset and high attention to details.
  • Quick Learner and able to work autonomously with a proactive approach
