Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Property Accountant to join the Occupier Services team based in Wellington CBD office. Our Occupier Services Division is made up of over 50 property professionals and provides strategic and operational support to some of New Zealand’s most recognisable brands , leading commercial organisations and government agencies. We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy professional to deliver accounting services for key clients in an assigned portfolio. The value you'll add- Support the Accountants in overseeing clients’ accounting functions in your assigned portfolio
- Assist in transactional tasks for assigned client portfolio
- Assist to process month-end journals and prepare monthly client reporting
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for clients
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation
- Optimise processes and assist with system testing
- Assist as required with the implementation of the new accounting software
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ successful experience in finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge of IFRS16 principles would be desirable
- Working towards Chartered Accountant
- Strong ability to communicate with your internal and external clients
