We are proud to contribute to a greener, cleaner world for everyone to live in. What’s this role about? We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer to join our IT Team. The candidate will work in a team environment with responsibilities to lead the operational support and maintenance activities for the organization. This involves performing maintenance and day to day support activities to on our cloud and on prem environments, as well as connectivity to over 500 customer sites in 5 regions. The organization is on a path to achieving ISO27001 and other industry standards so integral to this role will be implementation of best in class Operational processes to help us achieve these goals. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and must be a good communicator. What will I be doing? In this role, you will lead the IT operations function to ensure the smooth and efficient running of IT infrastructure and systems which includes Implementing the set of tools processes and metrics necessary to ensure compliant and best in class IT operations Managing relationships with business partners, suppliers and third party contractors, Maintaining dedicated commitment to service quality & customer experience and developing solutions to improve customer service. Lead the identification and prioritising incidents, requests, & escalations accordingly Running monthly and recurring IT operations activities to ensure smooth running of the companies infrastructure and systems, ensuring regular maintenance, support and upgrades in our comms areas, data centres and cloud environments and that costs remain within target. Implementation of the set of tools, processes and metrics necessary to achieve ISO27001 compliance and other regulatory requirements and industry standards. Ensure that all activity is accurately documented and recorded in line with ITIL practises Lead the move to production and change management processes for the organizations suite of technology products. Adhere to all IT Asset Management procedures & policies. Dealing with service request and implementation of minor enhacements in our on prem and Azure cloud environments. Development, implementation, and review of new policies and procedures. Provide occasional project assistance, including out of hours work and potential travel to other client sites. Providing occasional deskside support to end users, including employees, contractors, partners and customers in our various sites and those working remotely Occasionally build and deploy PCs, patch network points, troubleshoot printer problems, support standard software packages, and other general “IT” tasks What do I need to be a good technical fit for this role? Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills Good leadership skills, including delegation, time management, and prioritisation of tasks Diploma/Degree in Computer Systems At least 5 years experience working in IT support and Operations role (4yrs+) Experiencing working in a highly regulated / ITIL environment, with appropriate service / ticketing systems Strong analytical and technical skills along with proven software and hardware troubleshooting skills Knowledge of cloud technologies particularly Microsoft Azure and at least 1 years experience in maintenance and minor enhancement activities in these environments. Experience of supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft suites of services and client devices in a global environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a global environment Proficiency with Network Infrastructure e.g. switches, routers, APs, patching, network architecture knowledge Broad understanding of multiple technologies and business domains Experience in Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity is an advantage.
