THE OPPORTUNITY The Human Capital Business Partner will help Asia Pacific HCBP Director with supporting business strategy and objectives through consultation with business units, through the development and implementation of key people and regional as well as global organizational initiatives. The HCBP builds strong internal partnerships, provides developmental coaching to all levels, and offers creative solutions to address business issues and enhance performance. The successful candidate will be in the Human Capital department in Singapore and support all our Asia-Pacific offices (Singapore, Sydney, Beijing, and Hong Kong). Working in a small team in Asia, the Human Capital Business Partner will be expected to assume a great deal of individual responsibility and ownership of his/her work. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive performance excellence, ensuring that goal setting, follow-up and corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
  • Partner with stakeholders to help Improve and enhance operational processes in APAC with the goal of creating better efficiencies where possible.
  • Identify key organizational issues, change management needs, and the appropriate HR levers to maximize current and future organization performance.
  • Identify people-related issues or opportunities and implement people solutions in all areas, including but not limited to talent acquisition, organizational development, talent management, culture management, internal communications etc.
  • Actively partner with business leader and recruiting to attract, develop, and retain high quality talent.
  • Actively partner with cross-functional subject matter experts within the local and global HC team to resolve complex issues and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide employee relations expertise and policy interpretation to the business unit.
  • Build strong partnerships across HR to design and roll out corporate wide programs and ensure local stakeholder needs are understood and met.
  • Help translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives.
  • Help Transform the high-level people strategies into ground-level executions. Customize the project plans and implementation in the teams and assist team leads with organizational changes (from the most critical people projects to daily operations balancing both global and regional objectives.
  • Own the responsibility of Audit data accuracy in HRIS system, provide onboarding support, maintain accurate and up-to-date records in employee files, support the administration of employee requests and benefits and other such ad-hoc tasks as needed.
  • Coach business leaders on leadership behaviors and practices, employee communications, and performance management strategies that promote engagement and a culture of continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Substantial HR generalist experience in a professional or financial services firm or equivalent.
  • Ability to analyze and act on HR needs/requirements based on business plans
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that enable instant credibility.
  • Initiative and passion around HR’s ability to influence business outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of relevant laws and governing practices in APAC.
  • Quick learner with sound judgment and the ability to balance HR practices and business needs with an open mind to adapt to needs and changing scenarios.
  • Ability to handle a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sensitivity regarding employee information.
  • Successful experience driving complex projects and outcomes with the associated change management to ensure success.
  • Self-starter, driven, flexible and independent.
  • BS/BA in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior/Development, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Business Mandarin will be a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in Singapore without sponsorship or restriction
