Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Resident Construction Engineer - Architectural to join our team!Lead role in construction department - excellent communicator who is able to translate complex requirements into functional architectural proposals and solutions. Architectural background with demonstrable skills in the application of all aspects of construction related activities with a major emphasis on architectural and engineering techniques for infrastructure and community projects. Responsible for managing and controlling teams and preparing, drafting, presenting and issuing reports, developing and organizing all inspections on-site construction activities and any installations or works. Provides technical guidance to contractors and utilizes his expertise to ensure that the permanent works are constructed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, progress, cost performance approved drawings specifications and HSE requirements.What You'll Be Doing:Leads and monitors team performance against construction contractors' on architectural adherence within construction activities, and testing activities, quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent works are constructed in accordance to applicable codes, standards, approved drawings and specifications and any associated HSE standards and or requirements.Leads, monitors and assists SRCM with the planning and design of the staffing requirements for projects and their tracking solutions for tasks and supports team members and addresses technical concerns, ideas and suggestions and or assist with problem solving and recommendations whenever they arise.Prepares daily, weekly, monthly reports relating to progress, KPIs, develops content and makes presentations on any aspect of work and or assists the SRCM in a preparation works for any Senior Management reports relating to contractors' progress and or tracking mechanisms as and when required.Ensures the implementation of agreed architectural parameters and infrastructure projects that form part of the work plan and any other projects that may be generated by the client group.Reviews, monitors tests results generated by any independent test agencies and approves those complying with the specification requirements and prepares all necessary logs and tracking documentation.Acts proactively to implement innovation to review processes such as submitted shop and as-built drawings, materials submittals, procedures, project schedules, and work permits; and coordinate with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and or their comments.Leads and monitors staff members in relation to contractors' processes for quality assurance and quality control programs, inspection and test plans, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and provides leadership for accurate transmittal and recording of information to the contractors.Leads and manages reviews contractors' submittals for Preliminary Equipment and Materials List, Recommended Spare Parts List, and Operation and Maintenance Manuals and coordinates with the other departments regarding approval of these documents and their accuracy.Arranges and schedules meetings between the contractor and concerned departments to resolve interfacing problems during construction.Leads and coordinates between the contractor and the concerned departments on all aspects of design and associated construction work. Organizes, coordinates, and conducts in conjunction with the concerned departments end user acceptance inspections and re-inspections of the completed permanent works, until all deficiencies are corrected and signed off.Reviews contractors' invoices for correctness of installed quantities for any portions of the permanent works.Leads to resolves and ensures that contractor rectify deficiencies in the permanent works as reported by the concerned departments (end users) prior to acceptance of and transfer of the permanent woks to the Client and understands company needs to define architectural needs and specifications.Continually evaluates software or hardware requirements and ensures the department needs are met.Leads and oversees assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team membersAttends meetings on behalf of other team members when and if required and prepares reports/minutes.Leads and performs any other duties that may be assigned and deemed to be part of the SRCE role.What Required Skills You'll Bring:B.S. degree in Architecture from accredited recognized university,Master's degree in architecture or closely related field is a plus.Professional body certification is preferred, RIBA or similar.Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural field and construction subjects with 8 years MENA region exposureClient brief and spatial requirements, through to concept development and final design stages with hands on site experience in forming teams, delivering and handing over projects and or schemes.Coordination with other RC departments, planning, land use, utility companies and or any 3rd Party entities such as Construction and building drawings. Applicable Architectural codes, standards construction practices. Construction sequencing and methodology.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:Knowledge of International building code (IBC) and Uniform Building Code (UBC)Must have or be able to obtain Saudi Driving License.Must be fluent in English - both spoken and written and be able to effectively communicate with others.Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), read construction schedules (Primavera).Must have strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, and Arabic is a plus.Excellent computer skills, knowledge to databases is a plus.AutoCAD, HSE qualifications desirable.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
