We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor\Commercial Manager to join our Construction Division. Working within and outside the organization, you will bring commercial acumen, strong negotiating skills and market knowledge, looking to ensure the best outcome for the company. The role would suit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking to step up, or an established Commercial Manager who comes with experience working for a housebuilder or established developer. Key Responsibilities: Manage all commercial aspects of assigned housing developments, including cost control, budget management, and subcontractor management. Conduct accurate and detailed cost estimates, procurement, and tender processes. Collaborate with project teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects. Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximizing project profitability. Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Monitor project financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS or CIOB membership preferred). Proven experience in a similar role within the residential construction industry. Strong understanding of construction contracts and relevant regulations. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software. Package: £75,000 - £90,000 Basic + Package (Depending on Experience) Company Car/Car Allowance Discretionary Bonus & Incentives Opportunities for career development and progression within a growing company.
