Principal Data Analyst

The Integrated Workforce Management Program in the Department of Health are seeking an experienced Principal Data Analyst to provide specialist technical leadership to design a reporting framework comprising reports, KPIs and requiring data analysis to monitor and report performance of the IWFM Stage 3 Program and HHSs against agreed outcomes and other measures. The Principal Data Analyst will l ead reporting deliverables which includes extracting data from multiple sources; importing and merging data into databases; creating dashboards and report templates; producing reports; analysing performance results; and developing and delivering key findings. About the Integrated Workforce Management Program: The Integrated Workforce Management (IWFM) Program is a key strategic initiative for Queensland Health that will enhance the roster-to-pay process, deliver positive outcomes to support enhanced workforce management and drive the delivery of tangible benefits for both Hospital and Health Services (HHS) and the Department of Health, through improved tools, processes, and access to workforce decision-support information where and when it is needed. What we are looking for:

• High level of knowledge and extensive experience working with relational database technologies, preferably in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify issues and proven analytical and problem-solving skills to develop innovative and practical solutions.
• Proven high level knowledge and expertise in the use of business intelligence software and information reporting systems used for the extraction, manipulation and professional presentation and dissemination of reports from complex systems – preferably in a human resource or finance environment.
• Extensive written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide advice, consult and negotiate with stakeholders on complex and strategic issues and build effective client and stakeholder relationships in an environment of change.
