Data Analytics Lead | Hampshire (Mostly remote, occasional office presence required) | £65,000 - £75,000 | Energy Distributor Simpson Judge has partnered with a well established Energy company who are looking for an Analytics Lead to join their team. Occasional travel to their headquarters in Hampshire would be expected, this would not be regular. This is an exciting time to join an award winning UK Solar Supplier, headquartered in the UK with subsidiaries in Europe and South Africa. This role will have you reporting directly to VP Finance, working within a thriving team that has experienced impressive growth. Responsibilities include:

  • To provide a proactive insight service to stakeholders – this includes prescriptive, predictive, diagnostic and descriptive analysis of the business in a manner which enables the most effective achievement of our strategic goals.
  • Deliver company KPIs to a cascading dashboard which presents real time company performance and predicts outcomes to enable better decision making.
  • Act as the interpreter sitting between stakeholders across the business and data.
  • Conduct periodic insight reviews with each business unit, delivering a continually improving suite of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and predictive analytics.
  • Leverage predictive analytics and ML to enable better insights.
  • To be a subject matter expert in the desired business outcomes and strategic reporting needs to enable it.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships around the business to develop a data strategy for how data will inform key business objectives.
  • Be responsible for overall data quality, managing corrupt data and working with owners of source system data and data engineering to resolve issues at source.
  • Establish methods (automated and manual) which improve visibility across the activities of analysts across the business against a set of defined strategic goals.
  • Continuous monitoring of product-related technical debt, working alongside the developers to ensure that sprints have an appropriate mix of new functionality, fixes and on demands changes.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong prior technical analytical experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, MI manager or similar.
  • Strong using PowerBI to it’s full capacity across PowerQuery M, DAX, PowerBI Service, PowerBI Admin, Gateways.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python languages for data analysis in T-SQL and Postgres SQL (Snowflake).
  • Strong with Excel using dataflows, Microsoft Query, PowerQuery M
  • Stakeholder management and facilitation of decisions of all sizes
  • Strong presentation skills for engaging senior stakeholders
