Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have several trainee positions and are seeking applications from students studying towards a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree. These positions will be offered on a casual basis, with a focus on those disciplines in which successful candidates are specialising, but also in other disciplines or work areas as required. You will work under the supervision of Medical Laboratory Scientists and will be assigned tasks that fit with your skill set and competency with the opportunity for further training as appropriate.   • In the 1st to 3rd year studying towards a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree (BMLS)
  • Interesting in working casual hours as and when required by the service
  • Willing to work across any laboratory discipline
This is a wonderful opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated students to work in the most specialised medical laboratory in New Zealand across a broad number of disciplines and experience real life in a busy and dynamic scientific environment. As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have meticulous attention to detail, ability to follow instructions and procedures, analytical skills, time management, excellent written and oral communication, strong data entry and time management skills.
