D365 Solution Architect BC/NAV

Job Description My client is responsible for analysing and translating business information and functional requirements into a business solution blueprint that outlines systems, applications, and functionality solutions to achieve complex business objectives. The Solution Architect manages the entire lifecycle of a Microsoft technology solution ecosystem and has big picture ownership of generational technologies comprising the solution. Responsibilities: ·Partners with and provides business and functional architectural leadership to Nexer Consultants to deliver effective, applicable IT solutions to the customer’s business operations. Works collaboratively with various applications, architecture needs, information security, application & infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost-effective designs. ·Sets and influences the business solution’s strategic direction. Demonstrates the ability to translate business needs into solution requirements and understands the long-term and short-term perspectives of an IT investment situation. Works closely with stakeholders from various lines of business to develop architecture blueprints and realistic roadmaps. ·Analyses how applications and partner systems (ISV’s) can map to the customer’s needs and identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement such as enhancing business processes, expanding capacity, reducing time & cost, and increasing overall effectiveness. Acts as an arbitrator, as needed, to bring the appropriate parties together to drive discussions to decisions in a timely manner. ·Documents the Microsoft solution design into a formal Solution Design Document (SDD) deliverable document. Owns and documents the overall Microsoft application architecture based on industry standard architectural frameworks. Develops a capability road map of the enterprise portfolio from current to future state. ·Consults with application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to the broader company architecture, and collaboratively partners with delivery teams to modify the solution architecture in order to accommodate a specific project need. ·Provides leadership and guidance to developers on implantation approach, establishes and enforces best practice through code reviews. ·Analyses how technology is advancing and understands market trends and impact of SaaS/Cloud and determines the potential impact on the enterprise. ·Maintains relationship with internal and external colleagues and is a significant mentor to colleagues and management staff. Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards. ·Assists in directing the governance activities associated with ensuring EA compliance, particularly as relating to the Microsoft environmental infrastructure. ·Reports to the Director of Consultancy and Head of Architects. Qualifications: Job Requirements Required Background: ·Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related study, is required. MBA or MS in a relevant computing field is preferred ·Extensive development experience in Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics Business Central ·Experience designing and building integration solutions for Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics Business Central ·Knowledge of Azure DevOps ·Strong industry experience in various business vertical sectors. ·Significant “soft skills” and experience in Senior Management level engagements ·Can translate technical requirements into business and application solutions ·Strong experience in architecting Microsoft solutions ·Good understanding of all ERP capabilities, and have a good appreciation of related applications, including Power Platform. ·Experience working in a Cloud (Saas) environment ·At least ten - fifteen years of experience in areas such as application design and development, application integration, middleware, database management or operations, information security, technical architecture, network management, mobility. ·Demonstrates well rounded technology experience/exposure ·Proven ability to develop detailed solution designs.
