We're recruiting a Project Manager (Building Services) for an award-winning, multi-disciplinary team of highly qualified Building Services Engineers. Requirements for the role: Diploma in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering OR Level 6 Advanced Natonal Craft Certificate in Plumbing OR Electrical. Ideally 5 years + post graduate design experience. Ability to lead and deliver project designs with minimal input from Management. Demonstrated experience in a client facing role. Strong communication and presenting skills. Knowledge and experience of current Design Guides, Building Regulations (incl BCAR process) EN Standards. Job Description: • Atend Design Team and Client meetings to develop Design Concepts (You will be fully supported • by our Design Engineers). • Communicate the brief to our inhouse Designers to develop the Design. • Atend Mechanical & Electrical Site Co-ordination meetings with Main Contractor and Sub • Contractors. • Assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical services on site with other services and the • building structure. • Review equipment submitals and approve or reject them. • Ensure all Drawings are kept up to date throughout the course of the project (with the • help of our inhouse Designers / CAD / Revit Team). • Manage & co-ordinate the delivery to site of utilities supplies such as ESB, Gas and Telecoms. • Provide technical advice as requested to the Client / Design Team / Sub-Contractors throughout the project. • Atend site (weekly / fortnightly) during the Construction Program for inspection. • Works to ensure they are being executed in accordance with our Design and to a high standard of workmanship. • Monitor the installation of all parts of the mechanical and electrical works carried out in connection with the project via site visits and atendance at site meetings. • On Practical Completion carry out a detailed snag of each site. • Witness the commissioning of the mechanical and electrical systems carried out in connection with the project. • Manage the handover of the As Built Drawings and Documentation. • Provide documentation to indicate general compliance of design with Building Regulations and other statutory requirements. • Carry out a review of the Safety File.
