Location: Remote (Global) Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent (initial 3 months probation period) Our European based client is seeking a PHP Developer to join the core product team. Job Description: As a PHP Developer, you will be the cornerstone of our infrastructure operations. Your role is not only to maintain our current systems but also to lead the transition to newer technologies. Key Responsibilities: ● Develop, test and maintain high-quality software applications using PHP and Symfony. ● Own complex user stories, understand requirements and communicate effectively with your development lead and product owner ● Participate in code reviews, mentoring sessions, and continuous learning opportunities to further personal and team development. ● Troubleshoot and debug customer issues ● Implement and advocate for Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to enhance software design and architecture. Requirements: ● A PHP/Symfony expert with an Agile mindset ● Excellent English communication skills ● Working experience in a SCRUM team ● Experience with practices such as Domain Driven Design, Test-driven Development, Continuous- Integration, Deployment & Delivery ● Previous experience working with microservices, & asynchronous communication tools like SQS / SNS, RabbitMQ, Redis queues ● A passion for software architecture & craftsmanship Bonus points: ● Experience with event sourcing and CQRS ● Previous experience with AWS ● Previous experience working with BDD / phpspec / Behat ● Previous experience with analytics solutions such as Snowplow What We Offer: ● Extreme Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the world, on your schedule.
