JOB DESCRIPTION Post Trainee / Assistant Manager Salary £24,000 + (per experience) Reports to Manager Location 24a Ballyskeagh Road, Lisburn, BT27 5SY Hours/week 40hours Job Purpose As a trainee/assistant manager, you will play a vital role in insuring the smooth operation of our golf shop. You will assist the store manager in various tasks including store operations, customer service, Sales, Inventory management, Procurement, Training and development Main responsibilities Support the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the business. Manage stock levels and stock control. Focus on clothing and shoe departments. Analyse and interpret trends to facilitate purchasing. Analyse sales figures to assist with procurement forecasting. Liaise with Brand representatives to ensure all staff receive appropriate training. Manage, motivate, train and develop staff. Facilitate brief monthly review meetings with staff. To include supervision of staff areas. Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met. Maintain excellent shop floor presentation. Deal with sales. Consistently deliver excellent customer experience and services. Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring the sector. Target driven approach to KPIs; sales, merchandising, replenishment, stock keeping, order management, quality control and customer service. SELECTION CRITERIA Trainee / Assistant Manager Essential Assessment Criteria GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above. Minimum of 2 years experience in clothing retail. Passion for golf and a desire to learn about golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. Excellent organisational ability. Demonstrate ability to develop strong working relationships. Excellent customer service skills. Self-motivated with the ability to progress several tasks simultaneously and maintain timescales, including when working under pressure. Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings and weekends. Desirable Assessment Criteria Hold a minimum of a degree level qualification in a business, sports, marketing, communications related subject area. 3 years experience of Management within a retail environment. Demonstrate ability to work with Sales and Stock Inventory software programs. Demonstrate ability to work within budgets, achieve targets and report on same. Golf retail experience. Custom fitting knowledge. Experience in social media platforms, for advertising and promotional campaigns.
