OP_RIN_306_04/24 Professional Grade 6 67184 - 95514 Office of the Provost Term length: fixed-term Hours of work: full-time Position Overview The Riddet Institute is a world-best research centre in food and nutritional sciences, providing fundamental scientific understanding and training for a new generation of science leaders. The Institute integrates partner organisations (Massey University (host), Auckland and Otago Universities, AgResearch and Plant & Food Research) and disciplines, leading a “NZ Inc” approach to food research, and generates knowledge and capability that transforms the New Zealand food industry. The Institute has a history of being a vibrant, enjoyable, and fun place to work where we are all focused on “can do” and excellence in everything we do. The Sustainable Nutrition Initiative is a Riddet Institute programme advancing evidence for sustainable food systems. The research team use modelling, data science, and experimental approaches to understand how food production can meet the nutritional needs of the global and New Zealand populations in the future. As the SNi Project Manager, you will promote the work of SNi through project management and strategic communications. This will include liaising with SNi stakeholders, coordinating and reporting on team and external meetings, and ensuring the smooth running of research activities. You will also be responsible for the SNi website, with opportunities to be involved in other aspects of the Riddet Institute’s work. In this role, you will join a small, enthusiastic, and growing team of Riddet Institute researchers and students, and national and international collaborators working on the SNi project. Excellent communication skills, verbal, digital and written will be required. Project management experience and strong administrative skills will also be key. An understanding and enjoyment of science and interest in nutrition and/or sustainability is important. This is a 1.0 FTE position for approximately 12 months to cover a period of Parental Leave.
