The Job Role Overview

The candidate will be exposed to a multicultural working environment and have opportunities to upskill in this career path to assume an experienced role in account management, business development, or field sales. You will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive lead generation programs, qualifying leads, and generating high-quality pipeline for the Business Development Managers to close. You’ll identify and initiate long-term, C-level relationships with new high-value customers and have the opportunity to represent multiple technology vendor solutions across the spectrum of both new prospects and existing install base of customers. This is a remote role. To be eligible for this role, you MUST already possess the right to work in Malaysia. Currently, we are unable to sponsor local work visas/permits.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accountable for top-of-funnel demand generation and creation of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL's). This includes farming for accurate prospect names, email ID's, phone & contact details, social profiles (LI account), and updating of company CRM on a regular basis.
  2. Accountable for pipeline creation by creating Sales Qualified Leads (SQL's) using BANT/equivalent qualification framework, precise forecasting, client issues management, and implementation of agreed account and business plans.
  3. Supporting the Regional Sales Managers to develop and own the relationship within assigned accounts to maximize the company’s footprint.
  4. Relationship management with clients and partners.
  5. Continuous identification of new end customer projects/RFP's/tenders and upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  6. Preparation of sales materials, proposals, presentations, spreadsheets, and all required documentation and actions needed to further the sales opportunities, as guided by the Regional Sales Managers.

The Profile Key Skills & Competencies

This role requires someone passionate about technology and keeping up to date with the latest IT trends. A sound grasp of Software-as-a-Service oriented technologies with demonstrated history of software selling is needed. Demonstrate good customer presentation skills, customer service, and business acumen. Driven, self-starter and someone who strives to deliver quality outcomes for our clients. Agility, energy, and quick-thinking are key to thrive in our startup environment. Highly customer-focused; should be proactive in calling, outreach, and customer-facing activities to uncover new and upsell opportunities. Formulating demand generation strategies, with the ability to drive focused prospecting email and outreach campaigns. Ability to leverage Prospecting tools such as Wiza, Linkedin, Outreach, and company CRM platform to support demand gen activities. Identifying new opportunities in the account and developing them. Prepare and deliver quality proposals in conjunction with solution consulting teams.Proposal preparation, negotiations and closure. As part of the end-to-end sales and account management process, effectively collaborate with key internal stakeholders. Should have excellent communication and analytical skills to understand client-side requirements and effectively articulate our value proposition. The ability to display a proactive approach and work in an unstructured environment is necessary. Candidate should be able to work with partners and drive the business strategy for assigned accounts. Excellent networking, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Should be highly motivated and target-oriented. An excellent command of English is required. Proficiency in an Asian language (Malay, Mandarin Chinese, or Korean) will be advantageous. A positive attitude to bring the best in consulting and establishing trust with internal stakeholders and external customers. Experience managing teams, while not necessary, is highly valued.

Preferred Years of Work Experience

3+ years of relevant sales experience from a software background.
