About the Role

As a Product Designer on the Automation UX team, you will apply your design expertise to craft user centric experiences to streamline complex financial workflows. Your role involves creating effortless experiences by contributing to AI and ML design patterns that build user trust and ensure consistency across product areas. You are organized, care about the details, and have a strong intellectual curiosity to understand a new domain. You strive to transform sophisticated tasks into fabulous and effortless experiences for our users. You understand that achieving phenomenal design is a team effort and requires collaboration with cross functional partners. You are willing to show your work early and often because you believe showing is more important than telling.

Job Details:

  • You will be part of a product design team that partners with one of the major areas of our Financial Management suite of products. You'll partner with our designers, product management and UX research on initial research and product definition, through concepting, crafting detailed designs, prototyping, testing, and working with engineering on implementation.
  • This role involves both work on new as well as on established products and features, which will allow you to spend time thinking about the bigger picture across products while shipping concrete things to customers and end-users.
  • You’ll partner with other designers to improve the quality of your designs and theirs, and continue your growth as a designer.
  • You will help define Workday global design patterns and UX best practices.
About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of UX Design experience
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate your design concepts
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree preferred in human-computer interaction, human factors, psychology or related field
  • Portfolio showcasing your design experience that highlights a blend of web and mobile based work . (Please share password)

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to build alignment and articulate a product design vision through strong storytelling and presentations skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain your ideas and decisions in a way that anyone can understand.
  • Ability to work with the larger product and engineering teams on influencing roadmap and supporting implementation.
  • Ability to explore several design solutions, prototype and iterate based on quantitative/qualitative customer research and experimentation
  • Knowledge in designing multiple form factors including web and mobile
  • Willingness to show work early and often to foster productive collaboration and conversations to deliver the best experiences
  • Seek challenges and responsibilities while modeling a positive outlook even in challenging situations
  • Knowledge in designing multiple form factors including web and mobile.
  • Proficiency using modern design and prototyping software and tools (like Figma)
  • Bring your whole self to work and find ways to have fun.
  • Flex-Hybrid reporting structure requesting 50% in the Vancouver Workday office.
