Risk Manager (Fast Growing InsurTech)

As the Risk Manager, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and resilience of client's company operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will spearhead the implementation and refinement of the Risk Management Framework, aligning the business with regulatory standards and organizational goals seamlessly. Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will entail driving the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Risk Management Framework. You will establish and evaluate the adequacy of internal risk controls while monitoring compliance with policies. Collaborating closely with leadership, you'll fortify the Risk Management Framework, ensuring comprehensive coverage across all operational facets. Additionally, you will assess internal controls to maintain operational integrity and policy adherence. Emphasizing proactive risk management and ethical conduct, you'll foster a culture of risk awareness and ownership among teams. Facilitating training initiatives to boost compliance awareness and uphold the company's reputation will also be part of your mandate. Furthermore, you'll provide expert guidance on risk-related matters for new initiatives and projects, working closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, particularly in areas such as data privacy and regulatory compliance. Requirements To thrive in this role, a minimum of 10 years' experience in Operational Risk, Compliance, and Data Privacy is essential, preferably with exposure in financial institutions or healthcare sectors. Proficiency in emerging regulatory standards and best practices, including data privacy laws and technology platforms, is a must. Strong familiarity with Operational Risk Standards, Compliance frameworks, and relevant regulatory requirements is required. The ability to thrive autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment is crucial, with experience in startup settings being advantageous. Exceptional stakeholder management skills and relevant certifications such as CIPP, CPIM, CGEIT, CISSP, or CRISC would be beneficial.
