Technical Business Analyst

Job Duration: 6 months contract with possible conversionLocation: Toronto, OntarioPayrate: $55 - $60/hr.Description:We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business and systems analysis, requirements gathering, and test case management to support the successful delivery of projects. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure that business needs are translated into effective solutions and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize strong analytical skills to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring clear organization and traceability to project objectives. - Work within an agile environment and demonstrate a deep understanding of the agile delivery model to drive efficient project delivery. - Write, manage, and execute test cases, and coordinate the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases of projects to validate system functionality and usability. - Leverage expertise in Excel and other analytical tools to extract, interpret, and transform data into actionable insights that drive meaningful change and support decision-making. - Lead the testing of new system implementations, ensuring the quality and functionality of the systems meet business needs and requirements. - Conduct thorough process analysis and improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains. - Gather and define data requirements for new data relationships and entity relationships, contributing to enhanced data integrity and usability. - Utilize insurance or financial sector knowledge to provide valuable insights and solutions tailored to the specific needs of the industry. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and driving collaboration across departments. - Manage stakeholders and facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst. - Proficiency in agile methodologies and the agile delivery model. - Mastery of Excel and other analytical tools. - Experience in writing requirements, organizing, and tracing them to project objectives. - Strong understanding of data and the ability to turn data into actionable insights. - Experience in new system implementation testing and process analysis and improvement. - Knowledge of insurance or financial industry practices and requirements (an asset). - Bilingualism (French/English) is highly advantageous. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
