What You'll Do As a hammerhand, you will be assisting carpenters with various tasks, such as:
- Measuring, cutting, and nailing timber and other materials.
- Installing doors, windows, and fixtures.
- Demolishing and removing debris.
- Cleaning and maintaining the site.
- At least 2 years of experience as a hammerhand or a similar role.
- Your own tools and equipment.
- A Site Safe card to be on site (we can provide this if you don't have one).
- A clean criminal record (we will run a check before hiring).
- A willingness to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- References to back up your work experience and skills.
- A reliable and punctual attitude.
- Ongoing work with a stable and reputable company.
