He aha te mahi - Role purpose Working across the wider organisation, the Senior Business Analyst role acts as the key liaison between the business and the Innovation and Technology team to ensure business process requirements are understood, documented, and implemented. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with vendors to deliver project outcomes, and develop and deliver training as and when required. A pivotal part of this role is coaching other Business Analysts/System Analysts within the organisation, so we are looking for someone with a passion for mentoring others to develop their business analysis skills. He pūkenga āu - Our ideal candidate We are looking for a business analysis professional with seven (7) + years’ proven experience working within a range of system development life cycle project methodologies. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will have the ability to build great rapport and be comfortable working across a diverse group of teams, vendors and stakeholders in identifying business requirements and creating business process models. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to establish strong relationships. Your experience and skills will include:
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or similar qualification.
  • Proven ability to work within a range of project methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Rapid Application Development.
  • Ability to operate within business improvement methodologies such as BABOK, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
  • Ability to produce process models using the BPMN methodology.
  • Ability to produce time-in-motion metrics.
  • Significant experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Visio.
  • Experience with Microsoft Finance and Operations (FinOps), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Power Platform and Power Apps is beneficial.
This is a full-time permanent position for a minimum of 40 hours per week, and is based in Palmerston North, with flexible options available.
