- The role of the NOC Operator is to provide support in the functions of passive infrastructure network surveillance/monitoring escalation and reporting to ensure target KPIs for infrastructure availability are met and maintained
- Monitoring, escalating and providing necessary assistance to field engineers in ensuring 99.99% availability of sites.
- Managing and maintaining IPI’s monitoring systems and providing status and performance reports on
- Network, ISP services and facilities
- Executing fault handling and escalations, while identifying and responding to faults on the systems and networks in liaison with contractors
- Conducting routine checks by logging details of Generator Run hours, Diesel Levels and routine services while validating references and monitoring templates.
- Ensuring detailed implications of MTTR in order to surpass SLAs
- Providing Tier-3 support for co-location sites.
- Interpreting external alarms to ensure availability of power on all sites
- Should be a very good team player
- Self-motivated and resilient
- Good people management skills
- Ability and willingness to work shift hours (day and night shifts)
- Good decision making skills
- Should demonstrate incident ad problem resolution skills
- Should be able to use initiative
- Good organizational skills
- Very good written and verbal communication skills-must be a clear communicator
- Ability to work with remote teams
- Ability to work without supervision
- First Degree in Electrical/Telecommunications/ Computer/Information Systems or any related discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience in similar role in telecom sector.
- Experience in NOC operations and handling will be an added advantage.
- Experience in service delivery and support process handling will be an added advantage.
