Accountant (Vessel Accounting)

The Company Our client, a company in the shipping sector, is currently seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic team. The Role The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing regular payment and receipt postings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information in released receipts, and conducting month-end closing activities while preparing accounting reports such as weekly reports, monthly reports, statement of accounts (SOA), and reconciliation reports to meet reporting deadlines. Additionally, the position is required to demonstrate proficiency in understanding Principal Accounting Software and Systems to retrieve pertinent information for reporting purposes. Your Profile You should possess at least a Degree in Accountancy / ACCA or equivalent, with prior experience in performing vessel accounting. You are expected to have good communication skills with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors.
