Rope Access Level 2 Technician (Offshore)

Position Summary: Vertical Logic is currently recruiting experienced individuals for the position of Rope Access Level 2 Technician. This role requires advanced rope access skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of technical tasks in offshore environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to safety. Preference will be given to candidates who possess offshore certifications and medical clearances.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform rope access tasks independently and supervise Level 1 technicians in offshore settingsRigging and equipment setup for offshore rope access operationsConduct pre-use checks and maintenance of rope access equipment in offshore environmentsInterpret and implement rope access procedures, method statements, and risk assessments offshoreLead rescue operations and provide guidance to team members in offshore projectsOperate machinery and equipment proficiently offshoreEnsure compliance with safety standards and practices in offshore operationsCommunicate effectively with team members and clients in offshore settingsMentor junior technicians and provide training as needed in offshore projectsPreferred Skills and Competencies:Experience or familiarity with any of the following:PaintingBlastingLoad testingWelding (various types)Non-destructive testing (NDT)Rigging principles and techniquesOffshore certifications and clearances including:UKOG Medical ClearanceOPITO Offshore Survival CertificationSeaman's BookYellow Fever Vaccination CertificateCOVID-19 CertificationTB Test ClearanceConfined SpaceStandby rescueBasic Qualifications:Previous experience as a Rope Access Level 2 Technician in offshore environmentsAdvanced rope access skills and techniquesStrong leadership and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment in offshore projectsCommitment to safety and quality standards in offshore operationsRequired Documents / Qualifications:Valid Work Permit (if applicable)Medical Clearance CertificateRope Access Level 2 CertificationLogbookOffshore certifications and clearances as mentioned above
