As our Legal Counsel you will be a trusted legal advisor of the company's management team and you will work closely with - amongst others - our Sales teams that are based in and outside The Netherlands. Affinity with and knowledge of technology in an international legal context is essential to be successful. We are looking for someone who knows how to prioritise, likes to work in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate complex enterprise and government customer agreements, that meet the company's requirements under its policies and risk tolerance, while working collaboratively with the business team and executives.
Draft, review and negotiate all sorts of technology agreements.
Improve legal processes, procedures, policies and templates to support different business units and to ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Manage processes and controls with Legal implications (adhere to and comply with ISO/SOC-II standards)
What does it take?
University law degree (Master's degree).
Between 5-8 years of legal experience, with 2+ years in start-up/scale-up environment.
Fluent in English.
Demonstrated experience in negotiating technology contracts is a must.
Ideally some knowledge of Dutch (private) law.
Knowledge of GDPR and familiarity with other relevant data protection laws, with a track record of implementing compliance. measures in a business environment.
Comfortable in ambiguous, unstructured environments.
Part-time is possible (min. 4 days per week).
This role is based in The Netherlands, we cannot provide relocation and/or work permit support.
The salary range for this position is between EUR 85.000 - 100.000 per year (on full-time basis).
