What You’ll Be Doing The ideal candidate has
- Demonstrated success taking a project/program from white board to detail during intake meeting
- Track record of excellent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation for solutions
- Strong ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, or other suitable hardware description languages
- 5+ years of experience developing / verifying high-performance FPGA solutions, particularly for use in highly integrated (SW and HW) systems
- 5+ years of experience with video processing
- 5+ years of VHDL coding experience
- 5+ years of experience designing test benches and simulations using digital simulation tools (example: Modelsim, Active-HDL) for verification of FPGA designs
- 5+ years of proven experience with FPGA/ASIC design, and FPGA tool flow in a Linux environment, including concept development, code development, simulation, and verification on hardware
- Experience with board design and layout including design tools
- Experience with digital design expertise including modern microprocessors / DSPs, high speed digital logic, FPGA, memory, analog-to-digital,
- Board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN)
- Documentation (Test Procedures & Reports, Interface Control Documents, ECOs)
- Source control systems (Git, SVN)
- Additional software languages (C, C++, Python)
- System and functional requirements generation
- MATLAB/Simulink
- Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
- Digital, Analog, and Mixed Signal Design
- Design Analysis and Simulation (WCA/WCCA, Reliability, Radiation)
- Linear and Switch Mode DC/DC Power Conversion
- Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI)
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
- Flexible working hours.
- Working in our Markham, ON HQ or remote.
