Our global client is looking for a temporary IT support engineer to cover in person and remote support functions across multiple sites in NZ.

Our client is world recognised for the manufacturing and supply of paint and coating products and is currently seeking IT support engineer to reporting into Australia, working level 1, 2 and occasional level 3 support for 200+ internal end users their New Zealand operation Supported by the global team, this role requires a candidate to be based in Penrose with potential travel to other Auckland and regional plants and providing remote support across all levels of the business. The successful candidate will provide general IT technical support, however this position is specifically hardware focused and also requires a candidate with good network and systems administration skills with Wintel experience being highly regarded. Primary Responsibilities:- Addressing technical support inquiries via telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests.
- Assisting end users with a diverse range of issues, investigating and resolving technical problems.
- Managing and troubleshooting user problems encompassing PC hardware, software, LAN, and voice network.
- Identifying the source of problems through user discussions and collaborating with internal IT support, operations groups, or vendors for effective resolution.
- Procuring, installing, and upgrading PC components and software, and planning for and responding to service outages.
- Providing training to users on the utilization of new technology and software.
- Proactively monitoring PPG's computer systems using appropriate tools.
- Documenting, tracking, and overseeing the resolution of problems to ensure timely solutions.
- Participating in various IT projects in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Supporting a small site(s) within the country, overseeing up to 200 IT end users with no direct reports.

- A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong interaction and interpersonal skills specifically listening, providing guidance with
- Strong verbal communication skills with a fluency in English, including the ability to document operations procedures.
- Flexible to work non-standard shifts when required.
- A driving license and own vehicle.
- Temporary role with potential to turn into a long-term position.
