Continuing and Professional Education (CPE): Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Head, Business Development and Community Engagement. Reporting to the Director, Continuing and Professional Education, Head, Business Development and Community Engagement must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Continuing and Professional Education Directorate in all the Educational and Training affairs of the Directorate and fully implementing UDST's mission and vision. Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who promote the educational courses and programs offered by UDST, connect with businesses and government to understand the market and training needs, and facilitate custom program and service development reflective of these needs.
  2. The successful candidate will conduct business development and research activities to understand the market and future training needs that ensure CPE activities are competitive in the current market and that long-term corporate training needs are included in the strategic planning of the Directorate.
  3. The successful candidate will oversee the development of contracts, proposals, and presentations on the programs to be delivered and liaise with target industries.
  4. The successful candidate will coordinate with businesses, industries, government departments, professional and trade associations, community organizations to identify training needs in the market.
  5. The successful candidate will maintain ongoing interaction and collaboration with UDST Colleges and Directorates to ensure a list of courses and programs are available and offered at UDST.
  6. The successful candidate will coordinate with the Marketing & Communications to advertise and promote programs and courses. Attend trade shows or job fairs to connect with clients, promote and represent UDST continuing education services.
  7. The successful candidate will provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates to contribute to the development of employees, in collaboration with the Human Capital Directorate.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized, accredited institution.
  • Masters degree/Professional certification in relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience of which two years (2) should be in the education sector.
  • Language:
  • Fluency in written and spoken English language
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language
Other Required Skills:
  1. Demonstrably outstanding track record of leadership and management.
  2. Experience in accreditation and planning of college courses and programs.
  3. Good understanding of teaching, learning and student experience is required.
