Lead - Testing and Commissioning (Data Centre)

Key Areas of AccountabilityDesign & EngineeringUnderstand the design concept and intent by reviewing mechanical or electrical construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, vendor submittals and sequences of operationsProvide recommendations and feedback regarding the design, equipment selection, pre-functional checklists, startup and functional test scripts developed by others, maintainability and constructability enhancementsReview documentation for compliance with respect to industry standards, and design specifications· Assess the capability of commissioned systems to match the design intentTesting & Commissioning plan & activitiesCoordinate with Testing and Commissioning consultants to develop T&C plan for each site.Verify the system's performance, including establishing acceptance criteria, obtaining completed reports, performing verification and spot checking for validationAssist in as-built documentation and review for accuracy and completenessCommunicate commissioning issues, questions and concerns through proper channels in a timely manner.Quality AssuranceCommissioning team understands, evaluates, defines and manages the expectations of construction quality in accordance to engineering designs to meet the customer requirements. Work with internal and external teams to assure testing equipment is calibratedFactory, Field level testing & Integrated System testing:Plan, coordinate and participates in FAT, SAT and 7 level integrated system testing activities as per the customer requirement and work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of MEP systems.Develop project specific commissioning schedule and plans. Conduct commissioning coordination meetings as needed with project management, control, balance, and startup representativesReview system specific test scripts and sequences of operations. complete and legible commissioning documentation in alignment with global standards and policies.High performance & High availability designsOptimize electrical losses and provide best in class PUE for the data center.Track commissioning issues until resolved and closedMedium and low voltage power systemsGeneratorsUPSHVACChilled Water SystemsBuilding Management systems (BMS)Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)Testing and balancingPumps and Hydronic systemsDesired: Experience: Overall 15-20 years of experience in Electrical & Mechanical Systems designs/testing & Commissioning10+ years of experience directly related to mission critical facilities or data center infrastructure,8+ years of commissioning experienceCertification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education coursesDetailed understanding of critical LV, MV and HV electrical equipment.Detailed understanding of relays, protections schemes, high-voltage circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers electrical switchgear, grounding and earthing.
