POSITION: Costing and Estimation Engineer (Fabricated Parts and Projects)Experience: Minimum 10 Years in Costing and Estimation of Fabricated PartsJob Location: Thane (Mumbai) Description: A Costing and Estimation Engineer for fabricated parts and fabrication projects plays a critical role in manufacturing and engineering companies. Their expertise ensures the company can competitively price its products and services while maintaining profitability. Position Overview: The Costing and Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fabricated parts and fabrication projects. This role involves close interaction with the engineering, materials, and manufacturing departments to gather necessary data for costing. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles, material costing, and project management to ensure competitive and profitable project quotes.Key Responsibilities:-          Analyse drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.-          Assess cost effectiveness and potential profitability of projects and products.-          Work closely with suppliers to obtain quotes for materials and services.-          Evaluate processes and production equipment for cost-efficiency improvements.-          Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure project specifications are accurately reflected in the cost estimates.-          Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to estimated costs and revise estimates as necessary due to design changes.-          Implement cost tracking and management systems for fabricated parts and projects.-          Prepare detailed reports and documentation on estimation methodologies and project outcomes.-          Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and new technologies to continually improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.Qualifications:-          Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.-          Proven experience in costing and estimation in a manufacturing or engineering company.-          Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and labour costing.-          Proficiency with CAD software and cost estimation software tools.-          Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.-          Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.-          Strong communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to present cost estimates and justifications to management and stakeholders.
