Principal Architect

Job Description:You will be working in the CTO team to design and develop high-impact and innovative products at PubMatic. You will be responsible for doing POC of modern technologies and innovative ideas and identifying the highest-impact projects at PubMatic. You will also be responsible for driving technical innovation and you will be working with engineering, products, customer success, data center, and business development in multiple areas. You will also be participating in ideating engineering excellence projects, such as software optimizations, performance, security, and sustainability. You will be giving guidance to the engineering team on various projects and initiatives to drive success and productivity. You will also be responsible for designing and developing end-to-end product features for the PubMatic platform that would have high transactions per second and will include open RTB, Analytics, API, and other components. Responsibilities: Be responsible for designing and developing software modules for various parts of the system architecture.Understand system architecture and design.Drive the architecture and design decisions needed to achieve cost-effective and high-performance results.Develop portable, high-performance, and high-quality code following the best practices for software development and documentation.Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to derive the best strategy for product development which will add significant business value.Develop and mentor other team members for delivering high-quality code and best practices.Provide helpful and productive code reviews for peers and junior members of the team.Troubleshoot complex issues discovered in-house as well as in customer environments.Qualifications :8-10 years of product development experience in languages such as Java, Go lang/C++, data analytics technologies.Experience in ad tech, analytics, open RTB, bidding platforms, API integrations, data, and audience, etc.Experience with building highly scalable applications using optimal algorithms, advanced data structures, design patterns, multithreading, memory management, and collections framework.A solid knowledge of the principles of computer science is desired.Working experience in a Linux/UNIX environment is mandatory.Working experience with relational databases preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases and database concepts.Experience with SQL and database optimization techniques for performance and spaceWorking knowledge of scripting Perl/Python/ShellExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsBE/BTech/BS/BCS/MCS/MCA in Computers or equivalentMust Have: AdTech, Design patterns, software architecture, Data Structures, Web Services, RDBMS like MySQL/PostgreSQL.Additional InformationReturn to Office: PubMatic employees throughout the globe have returned to our offices via a hybrid work schedule (3 days"in the office"and 2 days"working remotely") that is intended to maximize collaboration, innovation, and productivity among teams and across functions.Benefits: Our benefits package includes the best of what leading organizations provide such as, paid leave programs, paid holidays, healthcare, dental and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, commuter benefits, physical and financial wellness programs, unlimited DTO in the US (that we actually require you to use!), reimbursement for mobile and fully stocked pantries plus in-office catered lunches 4 days per week.Diversity and Inclusion: PubMatic is proud to be an equal opportunity employer; we don't just value diversity, we promote and celebrate it.
