Backend Developer5 - 7 years experience, BangalorePosition SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Backend Developer who will be responsible for developing backend infrastructure for the smart crib product line. You'll be part of a cross-functional team and responsible for backend development for our IOT product.We have iOS and Android apps that customers use for baby monitoring that talk to the backend. The smart crib has sensors that send events + data to the backend. We store all the data on the cloud that powers our Machine Learning algorithms for baby detection & sleep pattern recognition. Backend is the glue that binds the various experiences. This role is for someone who thoroughly enjoys building backend infrastructure for stability, performance, uptime and scale. Required skillsPython/Java, Postgresql (or SQL) Exposure to AWS is beneficial. Hands on Experience implementing REST APIs and highly scalable systemsUtilizing a wide array of technologies, including but not limited to PHP, Nodejs, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, AWSExperience with any IoT devices is a huge plusYou're awesome at:Evaluating trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, space and timeUnderstand the business requirements and come up with a scalable solution.Enjoying the challenge of leading complex technical projects and delivering iterative solutions that provide value each step of the way.Desired skill sets:5+ years of relevant working experience.Previous experience working in the technical industry and building large scale backends.Highly proficient in Python/Java. Must also be greatly proficient in at least one of the backend frameworks (like Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc).Familiarity with Database technologies like Postgres, SQL and NoSql.Working knowledge with different database solutions Postgresql, MongoDB, Redis etcFamiliarity with cloud technologies like AWS is beneficial.Be consumer-oriented, be a team-builder and team player, have an ability to work in a fast paced and highly collaborative position, be highly organized and have an ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.You'll be responsible forDesign of the overall architecture of the backend and evolving it to ensure maximum performance, stability and scalability.Collaborate with frontend and mobile application developers to improve usability.Building reusable code and libraries for future use.Constantly evaluates emerging technologies and avails strategic, innovative, and cost-effective solutions that increase the efficiency, reliability, and integration of the business's sites/software.Working in a semi-autonomous environment with prototyping technologies in order to resolve emerging site/software issues promptly, reporting directly to the Head of EngineeringMaking sure that the whole system is secure and no data is lost.Work with cross-disciplinary teams (design, research, product, QA) throughout the program lifecycleAcademic qualificationsBachelors / Masters in Computer Science or allied fieldsWhat We Offer:Competitive salaryHealth InsuranceResults oriented work environment.
