We are looking for an Area Contracting Manager based in New Delhi, who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all hotels contracting activities within a designated geographic area as well as leading a team of Contracting Managers, ensuring the accomplishment and follow up of the regional targets.Main accountabilities:Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to the team of Contracting Managers.Set performance expectations and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Assisting and coaching Contacting Managers to develop their individual strategies to assist them to grow their skills, abilities, and competencies.Partner closely with the Regional Manager, Area Yield Manager and other internal stakeholders on efficient planning and execution of strategic plans,Having a clear understanding of the initiatives and targets by developing a clear guidance to drive and effectively implement our key strategic partnership programsParticipate and attend key hotelier meetings that require Area leadership representation to negotiate together with the Contracting Manager.Understand the systems and the processes to guide the team in the daily work.Help to solve any operational issues, competitiveness problems or any other tool related issues, to reach goals.Lead interdepartmental relationships across the business.Stay informed about market trends, industry developments and emerging technologies, to adapt better contracting strategies and decisionsProfile requirements:Strong influencing and negotiation skills, thriving in the creation and maintenance of successful long-term commercial relationships with suppliers and other stakeholdersProven ability to lead and mentor a team towards successful outcomesExperienced leader with proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environmentSolid experience in negotiating agreements and conditions with suppliersProven ability to build high performing teamsProven ability to build strong internal and external relationships with individuals and hotel partners using an open and consultative approachHighly developed communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skillsAbility to demonstrate & teach others a partnership approach to negotiation and salesIT proficiency including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet technologiesSolid experience and commercial knowledge of the travel & hospitality industries, key competitors, industry issues and related technologyRevenue Management & Distribution understandingPrevious experience of contracting and negotiation suppliersExcellent communication skills, in the local Language and English PRB
