We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support our finance department in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing insights and recommendations to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization.Responsibilities:Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):Develop and maintain financial models for AOPs, periodic plans and project plansFinancial analysis to generate insights that enable strategic decision-making.Assist in preparing AOPs, project plans, and long-term financial plans.Financial Reporting:Analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ratio analysis and resulting recommendations on specific metrics to focus onCoordination, if necessary, with any required external agenciesVariance Analysis:Conduct ongoing variance analysis and identify key drivers of varianceEnable mid-stream course corrections where requiredFinancial Modelling and Valuation:Build and maintain financial models to evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, capital investments, and business expansion opportunities.Prepare investment memos and presentations to support decision-making.Cost Analysis and Management:Analyse cost structures and drivers to identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost management and control.Collaborate with key departments to implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.Financial Risk Management:Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks.Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and provide recommendations for risk mitigation actions.Stakeholder Management:Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including finance teams and department heads.Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives and projects.Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting financial analysis and reporting.Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.Mentor and coach junior members of the finance team, providing guidance and support for their professional development.Competencies:Financial Analysis: Ability to analyse financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making. Proficiency in financial modelling, ratio analysis, and variance analysis.Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Financial Modelling: Proficiency in building and maintaining complex financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and cash flows. Experience in scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and valuation modelling.Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in developing and managing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Ability to collaborate with HODs to establish budget targets and assumptions.Risk Management: Knowledge of financial risk management principles and techniques, including market risk, credit risk, and liquidity risk. Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization's assets and financial health.Strategic Planning: Ability to contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing financial analysis, scenario modelling, and investment evaluation support. Experience in evaluating strategic opportunities, acquisitions, and business expansion plans.Data Analysis and Interpretation: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to gather, analyse, and interpret financial and non-financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate financial concepts and insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals. Experience in building strong relationships and influencing decision-making through data-driven insights.Problem-solving skills: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and develop practical solutions to complex financial problems and challenges.Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and business requirements in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new skills and technologies to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.Ethical Conduct: Commitment to upholding ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making. Adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance with company policies and procedures.Qualifications:MBA in Finance from tier 1 colleges or CFA.6-8 years of financial analysis and modelling experience PRB
