About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Director of Business Operations & Sales to join Renée's team. In this role, you will work closely with her and report to Tod, the General Manager of Martell Media. Here's a snapshot of what you'll embark on: Selling: Use of knowledge and sales processes to grow sales while building strong relationships with new and existing clients. Run the business: Bring an increased level of administrative and organizational management to the business's day-to-day operations. Make a profit: Follow established procedures, manage budgets related to sales and operations. Engage in dynamic sales conversations: Leverage and execute sales channels to achieve or exceed revenue targets. Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market reach. Develop a sales scorecard, setting sales targets, and monitoring performance. Cultivate strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively to maintain high levels of client retention. Run the business and build the machine: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of all business processes. Implement and optimize operational procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency. Monitor key metrics to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and drive operational excellence. Make a profit, yes it is not an ugly word :) Manage budgets and expenses related to sales and operations. Analyze financial data and generate reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize resource utilization. Be the example: Lead and mentor a team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to support professional development. Do you have what it takes? You have various degrees of sales expertise and proven results. You are results-oriented, strategic, and highly process-driven. While business operations, financial, and agency knowledge are nice-to-have skills, we are willing to coach and train the right person. You will work closely with Renée and Tod and collaborate with other amazing people on the team. Experience and qualifications: Experience as a sales professional working with various-sized clients. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven experience in sales management and business operations. Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Experience in an agency or a coaching business is a plus.
