As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be focusing on grid connection related activities for the development and construction of our onshore wind farm, PV and battery storage projects in Netherlands and Northern Europe. Your key Responsibilities and TasksWorking initially in all phases of our onshore wind farm, PV and BESS projects, the Senior Engineer will be responsible for ensuring a robust and optimized through life design of the project's electrical system supporting on all aspects of the generation and transmission system up to the grid interface pointAdvise projects on specific questions regarding electrical system behave, grid code compliance and interconnection processes to TSO or DSO gridsLead and coordinate interconnection processes, organize all relevant technical documentation, test reports, certifications and RCAsLead design / prequalification for packages of wind farms/ PV schemes/ battery storage plants and components performing audits and technical due diligences. Create simulation models for electrical systems, perform e.g. load flow and short circuit calculations, analyze dynamic stability and harmonics stability as well as protection conceptsPlan and coordinate internal and external resources for technical due diligence projects (e.g. of M&A acquisitions), analyze simulation results, technical solutions and risks, make proposals for technical and commercial decisions.Analyze electrical system behavior and grid code compliance for projects and existing plantsDevelop and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) for engineering work, evaluate the submissions and make recommendations on their selectionSupport the tender, negotiation and procurement process for the E-BoP of the projectClose liaison with technical experts in Engineering and Engineers working on similar projects to ensure their knowledge is effectively utilized on the projectYour profileMore than 5 years of relevant work experience and above-average expertise in the design, construction or operation of onshore wind, PV, Battery or similar renewable energy industry projects, with experience in collaborating with transmission or distribution network operators in PolandComprehensive knowledge of the application of relevant software programs such as MS Office, PowerFactory (load flow, short circuit, protection, RMS and EMT simulations), PSS/E, PSCADGood understanding and of the electrical Transmission and Distribution Network landscape in the NetherlandsExcellent communication, coordination and leadership skills, highly motivated, confident and resourcefulExcellent teamworking ability and integrative skills, social competence and intercultural mind setBroad knowledge of the use of relevant guidelines, norms and standards (e.g. IEC61400) and Best PracticesSuccessfully completed university studies or comparable graduate education ideally in electrical power engineeringFluent Dutch and English speaking and writingWillingness and ability to travel to Northern European Countries, mainly within Netherlands, exceptionally to Sweden, UK, Ireland and Germany for few days, totally up to approx. 15% of the time. rwe.com/career Apply now with just a few clicks: ad code 85646, application deadline 15/03/2024.Any questions?
