Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Head of Operations & Supply Chain - EAME Location:  Amsterdam - Netherlands Job ID:  27921 Title: Head of Operations & Supply Chain - EAME Location: Any European country Role Summary The Head of Operations & Supply chain is a key role in EAME, accountable for strategic design & execution of supply chain activities and the link of regional setup with global operations, overseeing manufacturing, procurement, quality, and other key supply and GO activities. The incumbent will be accountable for end-to-end supply chain activities for the region ensuring reliable performance to enable growth and meeting financial targets. In addition, this role will be responsible for the development of the supply chain network to realize efficiencies while evolve the system to implement a reliable and cost-efficient supply model for EAME. As a member of the Global Operations community, it is expected to develop the gravitas by linking all upstream global activities to ensure reliability, responsiveness, quality, and seamless operations. This role is pivotal to support the business execution in the region and global financial objectives, by implementing supply chain strategies, best practices and best in class operational procedures that meet the commercial unit's financial plans. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for realizing plans to achieve resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the high customer satisfaction, while improving current service levels and playing a key role in improving cash flow performance from an active inventory management and shortening the cash conversion cycle. In summary, this is a key role to develop and execute plans and processes to improve cost competitiveness, guarantee product availability based on market needs, and ensure compliant and sustainable supply based on global guidelines while providing strategic directions to determine most cost-effective distribution solutions and adequate inventory levels for the company's operation and cash flow generation. As a member of the EAME leadership team, this position will work in partnership with the commercial units to monitor the supply performance from all aspects and will represent the GO strategy and performance. Therefore, the role needs to show a high level of leadership and interdependence. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the strategic design development of a sustainable supply chain network anticipating market/customer trends, maximizing customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost while always drive for continuous operational efficiencies Lead the interaction between GO and Commercial to ensure the most effective outcome for the company linking customer satisfaction, financial targets, and compliance Focal point in coordinating at regional level all the links with functions in global operations within the region and HQ Leads strategy and initiatives to maximize the cash conversion cycle (including inventory levels) while driving down total operational costs contributing to short- and long-term financial goals Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) influencing not only supply chain community Responsible to generate a clear view of the supply vs demand situation and make sure all stakeholders are informed Directs and coordinates regional supply chain functions through strategy deployment, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction Manage end-to-end operations and supply chain activities across the region including demand creation, S&OP execution, inventory management, stakeholders' relationship, and logistics Identify bottlenecks and issues in the supply chain and implement efficient processes and standards to address these issues Monitor the logistics indicators of the company Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits Establish agreements with external and internal suppliers to improve profitability Coordinate actions with other company departments to improve business performance Analyze supply chain data and performance Ensure processes meet legal requirements and standards Stablish clear SLA with upstream functions to ensure end to end connectivity Drives for a quality and compliant operation Ensure customer complaints are managed as well as corrective actions are taken Interact directly with commercial units to support our best supply chain approach for meeting the financial targets while minimize working capital and operational efficiencies Share and implement best business practices and knowledge of the group MEASURES OF SUCCESS People Development: Mentor and coach commercial and non-commercial teams to build plans that include an 'after sales' customer satisfaction mindset alongside delivering strong performance across the region Enable commercial community to align customer KPIs and inventory goals mirroring GTM strategies in each market  Drive continuous improvement mindset/environment and create innovative tools and processes for simplicity & effectiveness Partner with other departments such as product management or sales to communicate needs and maximize whole team alignment   Provide strategic advisory to region and country leaders on operational efficiencies, supply & sourcing policies, and business/non-commercial strategy Advise and act as a strategic partner and active participant in shaping strategy of the company for future strong growth through knowing 'what good looks like' Support and advise strategic and operational decision making through insights Work effectively alongside other business units by being a key partner for the EAMA Leadership Team (ready to support & challenge in leading the business) Know the business very well to be a trusted partner and advisor to the Region SVP on Strategic planning and decisions Ensure the best on-time performance and develop strategies to improve timely delivery Develop strategies that reduce costs while improving efficiency Analyze business functions and market trends to anticipate short- and long-term demand   Operational Excellence Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency with customer facing operations across all functions Eliminate work redundances, ineffective process with focus on simplification Identify tools/resources to improve forecasting process/data across the region Oversee the evaluation and prioritization of ideas on new ways to grow the business through partnerships and cooperative deals that drive sustainable profit & revenue growth Driving operational improvements throughout the distribution channel   Customer Orientation Building relationships with key stakeholders from various vendors, suppliers, clients, and staff Ensure business excellence and supply leaders across the region are business/industry savvy with a strong connection to the customers (internal and external) Develop a strong relationship & network with staff, customers & industry peers Work in conjunction with the Country leadership teams in the development of regional programs and initiatives to implement with customers Ensure profitability and business health is a top priority by better ensuring production plans are better forecasted and delivered on schedule   CRITICAL EXPERIENCES FOR SUCCESS To be successful in organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with keen attention to detail Advanced business acumen, communication and change management skills Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or similar field Must have fluency in English (written and verbal)   The following experiences are preferred: 10-15 years' experience in crop protection industry Proven experience as Lead of Operations and Supply Chain or similar leadership role Knowledge of all the process and activities involved in the supply chain Solid business experience in multifunction environment Experience working in a multi-country environment Understanding of process development and management Excellent problem-solving skills Creative thinking to help bring products to the market faster Technical ability, including a solid understanding of supply strategy and innovation that can impact the supply chain
