Site Reliability Engineer

This will will be 50% hybrid in HyderabadEXPERIENCE LEVEL: 3-5 years 6-12 months project after which client reserves right to hire (CTH)Candidates must be open to converting to full time with end client at or after 6-12 months Top must haves: - Backup and disaster recovery for systems built on GCP - Building Linux on GCP - Docker - Ccripting within databases JD: DataMTX is working with a Fortune 500 client looking to bring on a GCP focused Site Reliability Engineer. This role will assist in creating backup and disaster recovery solutions for numerous applications built on GCP, assist with containerization using Docker, and write scripts for various databases. It is three days a week on-site, with Monday and Friday being remote. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions on Google Cloud Platform to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.Provision and configure Linux instances on GCP according to best practices for security, performance, and scalability.Implement and maintain containerization solutions using Docker for efficient deployment and management of applications.Develop scripts for database management tasks.Collaborate with software development and operations teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability in a cloud environment.Monitor system health and performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure maximum uptime and performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.Demonstrated experience in managing cloud infrastructure, particularly on Google Cloud Platform.Proficiency in provisioning and managing Linux-based systems in a cloud environment.Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker.Strong scripting skills in languages such as Groovy, Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with a focus on database management. Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
