Quality Engineer- Power Electronics

Virbhu India Pvt Ltd - Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of AK-LLC (USA), operating in the field of power electronics, has as an immediate opening for Quality Engineer- Power Electronics. The position will be involved in new product development supporting the design and launch of Virbhu India Pvt Ltd next generation of cutting-edge products. In this role you will be responsible for managing operational supplier and production quality, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. Leading the execution of supplier assessments, driving both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier and performance levels.ResponsibilitiesSupport in the creation of quality plan documents, pro-active input into product and process design (according to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP);Component introduction process and release: contributing quality aspects of the manufacturing approval (e.g. Control Plan, sample plan, test definition);Ensure that all items of the APQP are maintained up to date and used on the production lines.Oversee daily quality process and quality system including incoming material management, production quality control, and quality continuous improvement actions.Manage factory quality issue escalation, Failure Analysis issues, Root Cause and Corrective Action from First Article Inspection/Outgoing Quality Control/On-Going Reliability, Yield fallouts, Customer Complaints and Field failures during NPD/Assembly / Production Phases.Leading in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, etc. Also, to resolve emergency quality issues in a timely manner.Validating the supplier's quality systems and processesWorking together with buyers to engage suppliers and preparing claims cases when necessary.Ensuring required supplier development processes are thoroughly executed to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base.Using supplier quality management tools and systems for collaboration, monthly quality MIS reporting, monitoring and disposition of quality, delivery, cost matrixQualificationsBachelor of Engineering in electronicsMinimum 4-6 years of related experienceExperience in handling of electronics component validation, PCBA, equipment calibrationProficient in quality tools like FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5 Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC & 8D Root cause analysisCertification in ISO 9001: 2015 AuditingA collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills PRB
