Data Governance Lead DeveloperA Data Governance Lead Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the consistent and accurate use of data across an organization. They work closely with various stakeholders, such as data architects, data engineers, data analysts, and business users, to develop solutions that support data quality, data lineage, data cataloging, and data stewardship. Job Description: Data Governance Lead Developer Responsibilities:Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the consistent, secure, and accurate use of data across the organization.Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, data analysts, and business users to understand data requirements and design data governance solutions that support data quality, data lineage, data cataloging, and data stewardship.Design and implement data governance to automate data governance processes, monitor data quality, and track data lineage using Industry leading tools such as Azure Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra.Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data catalogs, and data lineage documentation to provide transparency and visibility into the organization's data assets.Work closely with data stewards and data owners to define and enforce data ownership, data classification, and data access policies.Conduct regular data audits and assessments to identify data quality issues, data inconsistencies, and potential risks, and develop remediation plans to address these issues.Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on data governance best practices, processes, and tools, and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.Monitor industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to data governance, and ensure the organization's data governance framework remains up-to-date and compliant.Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Strong experience in data governance, data management, or a related discipline, preferably in a lead or senior role in the past 6 to 7 years.Knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices.Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies, such as data cataloging, data lineage, and data quality management solutions.Experience working with databases, data warehouses, and data integration technologies.understanding of data privacy and security regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA.Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data governance issues.Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Have worked on end to end Data Governance project implementation.Hands on Experience in one or more Data Governance Tools such as Collibra, Azure Purview, Unity Catalog, Informatica DG, Talend DG, Alation etc.Has prior experience working on Cloud Native Data lake, data warehouse such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, ADLS Gen 2, S3 etc. PRB
