MCS Group are looking for a Treasury Risk Manager to join one of the leading retail banks in Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join the business as a Treasury Risk Manager. The role The Risk Management team lead and enhance the risk and regulatory compliance culture by providing independent oversight and challenge to ensure that all risks, legal obligations, and regulatory obligations are identified and effectively managed. As Manager, Treasury Risk you will support the Head of Treasury Risk in the operation of the Treasury Risk unit, formulating, communicating, implementing, and overseeing strategies and policies in relation to interest rate risk management, funding, and liquidity management as well as capital risk management to ensure all associated regulatory requirements are met. You will be responsible for the continuous updating of all Bank policies in relation to liquidity, capital and market risk (including but not exclusively the Liquidity Policy, Market Risk Policy (incorporating Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book (IRRBB) Policy, Capital Policy and FX Risk), supporting the Head of Treasury Risk in the delivery of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), and 2nd line input into Individual Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) and Recovery Plan (incorporating LCP). The Person Experience in a financial services environment with a risk management or oversight focus. Experience in a related area such as liquidity, capital, interest rate risk management, Finance or Treasury. Extensive experience in using Microsoft Excel effectively for Risk Modelling. Experience preparing, reviewing, or auditing complex data sets. Experience preparing and presenting reports to senior management. Preferred: A good understanding of the different elements of a bank balance sheet including the drivers of income and the management of balance sheet risks. Experience in key liquidity/funding, interest rate risks and capital reporting for financial institutions. A relevant degree or professional qualification - qualified accountant, CFA, AMCT CerBALM, PRM. Experience of project management and project life cycle. Experience applying or assessing compliance with prudential regulatory principles.
